FinTech LIVE London: Day one highlights and recap

Day one of FinTech LIVE London has seen the annual two-day conference return to full swing. This year, we’re at the QEII Centre in the heart of Westminster – just moments from where the big decisions affecting the UK’s financial services industry are made.

Hundreds of attendees have been piling through the door here, and with two dedicated fintech stages there’s no shortage of content for them to enjoy.

The first day’s proceedings witnessed a forum on the importance of customer centricity in financial services. Guests included Russell Fisher from Admiral Pioneer; Alex Orechoff of Worldpay; Anton Padmasiri from WealthOS; and Nium’s Jill Docherty.

Together they discussed how firms can integrate the customer perspective into their products, services and business models.

Headline sponsors Saphyre return for another year

The Roche brothers made the keynote address at the beginning of day one, and also took part in panel discussions on the topics of the digital ecosystem and fraud & ID verification. Stephen and Gabino are fresh from The Trade awards held earlier this week at the Savoy Hotel in London, where Saphyre was named ‘fintech of the year’.
