NTT DATA & Armstrong Wolfe Pen Innovation Partnership

Leading IT Services Provider NTT DATA Has Partnered With Advisory Firm Armstrong Wolfe to Drive Innovation in the Financial Services Industry

NTT DATA UK&I and Armstrong Wolfe have signed a new strategic partnership to drive further innovation in the financial services industry.

Per the deal, the leading IT services provider and financial services advisory firm will focus on sharing knowledge across their communities – learning from each other to drive innovation in operational resilience, non-financial risk, emerging risk assessment and horizon scanning.

Head of Banking and Financial Services at NTT DATA, Andy Nelson, says: “This collaboration will leverage our combined expertise in technology and business transformation."

He continues: “As the sectors under the umbrella of banking and financial services continue to rapidly evolve with emerging technology, our partnership comes at an opportune time to provide innovative solutions and leading advisory.

“By joining forces, NTT DATA UK&I and Armstrong Wolfe will work closely together to understand client needs and develop tailored offerings that merge our strengths. Financial institutions recognise that technology is key to better engage customers, increase efficiency, and meet customer demand.”

The partnership announcement builds on comments made to us by NTT DATA’s SVP of FSI Consulting, Jason Gandy, at Money20/20 USA 2023.

Gandy said at the time that “achieving digital transformation is definitely a barrier” he had seen financial services companies grapple with.

Now a partner of Armstrong Wolfe, NTT DATA has effectively scaled its ability to support financial services firms with their transformation needs.

As for Armstrong Wolfe, its new relationship with NTT DATA further solidifies its drive to champion the role of COO, following the Armstrong Wolfe COO Summit in 2023.

Pioneering inclusion as well as innovation

Indeed, this strategic knowledge-sharing partnership is not just intended to drive operational excellence in financial services, but to also build on a shared commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I).

The partners aims to further synergies both of their Women’s Business Networks, including Armstrong Wolfe’s DE&I initiative Ad Centrum, which supports minority groups by leveraging the influence of the global COO community.

Armstrong Wolfe CEO Maurice Evlyn-Bufton adds: “We are pleased to be collaborating with NTT DATA UK&I to drive better innovation and DEI initiatives across both our organisations. The advice and expertise NTT DATA has within its organisation will be vital for helping us to improve our services and deliver better outcomes for our COO community.”
