Worldline: The perks of account-to-account payments

FinTech Magazine visits Worldline’s VP Head of Products, Clément Jozwiak, to discuss account-to-account payment innovations and how it boosts open banking

We met up with Worldline’s VP Head of Products, Clément Jozwiak, at Money20/20 to talk about how account-to-account payments are innovating the fintech space, and how they offer a boost to open banking.

Although account-to-account payments are not strictly new on the market, as Jozwiak puts it: “What is new is that it is now open to anyone. You just need a bank account to get access to it. You don’t even need to register for it; it’s there and available to everybody.”

Of course, user journeys are also evolving too, and consumers can use mobile apps to authenticate themselves.

The boost account-to-account payments has on open banking is that the experience can come from either the merchant or bank and innovation will come through the relationship of combining two worlds to bring value to both open banking and account-to-account services.
